Ardbeg Drum Committee Release

A limited edition Islay single malt from Ardbeg Distillery, released for Ardbeg Day as an exclusive Committee bottling.

Ardbeg Drum was matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in rum casks — an unusual twist for the famously peated Islay distillery. The Committee Release was bottled at a higher strength than the standard version, offering amplified character and intensity.

Now discontinued, it remains a sought-after Ardbeg Day collectible.

Why you’ll love it

Ardbeg Drum Committee Release combines classic Islay peat smoke with tropical sweetness from its rum cask finish.

Expect waves of bonfire smoke, grilled pineapple, banana, vanilla fudge and coastal salinity. The higher Committee strength adds extra weight, spice and depth, creating a bold yet surprisingly playful Ardbeg.

It’s smoky, sweet, and unmistakably Islay — with added collector appeal.
